Unicorn Café

Our Unicorn Café's name comes from the many statues and other representations of unicorns that can be seen around the castle. There are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and the Wallace Monument from the café’s rooftop patio.

It's officially great for families! It has achieved the Kids In Museums Family Cafe Standard, developed with Benugo. This rates museum cafés on their facilities, website, choice, sustainability, cost & more.

The Palace Shop

Perfect for luxury gifts and exclusive merchandise. These include goods inspired by the interiors of the castle’s sumptuous Renaissance royal palace.

Among them is the tapestry range, based on the splendid Hunt of the Unicorn series which decorates the walls of the queen’s audience chamber.

There is also jewellery based on by pieces worn by James V and his queen, Mary of Guise, and a children's range inspired by the lovable Stirling Mice.
