The Palace Apartments

The King's and Queen's Apartments within James V's Palace, beautifully conserved and re-presented after years of research and skilled craftwork, provide a unique dining experience.

These lovely gardens beside the palace are suited to pre-dinner drinks or for a beating the retreat performance at the end of an evening.

Burns Night

Celebrate Burns Night with colleagues and clients in the castle’s Great Hall with traditional Scottish entertainment and first-class dining.

Guests are welcomed with sparkling wine and soft drinks in the Chapel Royal. They are then piped into the Great Hall for a sumptuous four-course gala dinner including the traditional Burns Night fare of haggis, neeps and tatties.

They are entertained with Scottish music, recitals of Burns’ poetry and excellent speakers.

Tables are available for 10 guests. 

Argyll’s Lodging*

A fine 17th-century townhouse which belonged to the earls of Argyll, it is an atmospheric venue for intimate dining, meetings and seminars.

We can host evening or daytime events and provide a private guided tour, exploring the building and the lives of its noble residents. The spaces and options include:

Laigh Hall

On arrival guests can enter from the floodlit courtyard to enjoy pre-dinner drinks For daytime meetings the hall is used for registration and buffets for up to 60 guests.

The High Dining Room

Where the earls entertained important guests, it is the grandest public room. The High Dining Room is excellent for small, exclusive dinners, seminars and lunch. It can also host theatre style meetings and presentations for up to 60.

Argyll’s Lodging day delegate package

Our day delegate package is available for groups of 15 or more. A Projector and Projection screen (1.7m x 1.3m) are available.
