Guests are welcomed to Stirling Castle by a piper. There’s even a jester to perform while they enjoy their drinks.
Later they are piped into the grand interior of the Great Hall to dine at tables laden with platters piled with food, all washed down by goblets of drink.
Clansmen will surprise guests with a rousing battle re-enactment between courses.
The spectacular finale is a clan-style pipe band, performing in the Great Hall or outside in the Top Square.

A traditional Scottish gala evening in the 16th-century Great Hall. Guests are welcomed by a piper and then enjoy a drinks reception in the Chapel Royal.
Once they are seated in the Great Hall a chieftain haggis is piped in, addressed and guests are asked to toast the haggis. A clarsach player entertains throughout.
A spectacular beating the retreat performance provides the grand finale.

Dine in the Renaissance splendour of our gloriously refurbished royal palace, which is available during the summer season for intimate occasions.
On arrival drinks are served in the King’s Inner Hall where guests can marvel at the remarkable replica Stirling Heads and treated to a guided tour of the palace.
Dinner is then served in the King’s Outer Hall, which was intended as a place where James V would entertain his court and guests. Special options are available for décor and entertainment.
