Following the latest Scottish Government announcement for mainland Scotland, the castle is closed.

Castle opening hours

Closing times for independent museums vary.
The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum is currently closed. More details about their heritage Lottery Funded project can be found on their website.
We recommend you allow at least 2 hours to see all the castle highlights and to get the most out of your visit.
Following government guidelines you must book your tickets in advance to visit the castle:
Unicorn Café opening hours
31 October to 31 March:
10am to 3pm (takeaway only between 10am and 11am)

Please note that the capacity in all internal spaces will be limited and staff will be present to advise on maximum numbers.
Some areas/facilities will remain closed for now, we have a phased approach to re-opening while we work to make them safe.
Christmas and New Year
The castle is closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day (25 and 26 December) and New Year's Day (1 January).
